HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME AND CHINESE THEATER

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a popular site in Hollywood LA which is home to the largest and most influential cinema and entertainment industry the world has seen. Without a doubt, a trip to Los Angeles must also include a trip to this iconic site. Settled on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre is a movie palace which has been home to many Premiers and Academy Awards ceremonies. It is a spectacular representation of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

Opened May 18, 1927, the TCL Chinese Theatre is situated at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard, California. It was originally known as the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. In 2013, it was renovated to accommodate up to 932 people, and it features one of the largest movie screens in North America.

The TCL Chinese Theatre offers you a close-up interaction with some of your favorite celebrities; you get to experience the personal side of celebrities. The theater hosts the famous tradition of the Chinese Theatre Slabs which has the actual hand or footprints of celebrities. It is a rite of passage to place your hands over the prints of these iconic stars. This handprint tradition is over 30 years older than the star tradition of the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

The TCL Chinese Theatre is also famous for its captivating surroundings; It is a beautiful scenery for taking memorable pictures. It gives more of an Asian vibe due to its Chinese relics. It also houses great spots in the city to view the Hollywood sign and take great pictures.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is open to the public 24 hours, and the theater can be toured from 10 am to 10 pm every day except Monday. This working theater also showcases various newly released films throughout the year. In 2010, a time capsule was hidden beneath the same spot that started the Walk of Fame. It is scheduled to be opened in 2060, and we are all excited and greatly anticipating to see what’s going to be in there.
