Real Estate agents are usually represented by a broker in the area.  They travel to people’s homes when they are looking to buy or sell their property.  The process ranges from home consultations or evaluations in order to get a floor plan, list of amenities, number of bedrooms and bathrooms. With this information, realtors will determine the persons home value and what needs to be done to sell for market value.  If a person wants to purchase a home, the buying process is a bit different.  They get to know you and your goals and search the market accordingly.  However, they take care of offers, negotiations and contracts just like they do in the selling process.

About North End

Little Italy is what they call this maze of narrow streets. The official name of the neighborhood is  North End.  It has some of the oldest buildings in Boston and has a population of 10,131 as of 2010.

This lovely neighborhood has nearly 100 establishments and a bunch of tourist attractions. It’s known to be Little Italy for its Italian American population as 30% of todays population has an Italian heritage and the residents have a diverse array of backgrounds and walks of life.   It’s also known for it’s fine Italian restaurants.  The district will soon be a Boston Landmark.

There is a tunnel that connects the North End to East Boston (the location of the Logan International Airport, but was once Boston Airport).  Due to congested traffic a second tunnel was built and opened in 1961.

North End is considered the safest neighborhood in Boston to live as there’s not other place quite like it anywhere else. It’s a place young professionals and families desire to live as it’s a thriving community.  Everyone knows eachother wherever they are.

People who live there love it for the cultural and historical experiences.  The neighborhood is bounded by the north and east waters of Boston harbor and extends inland . There is a Waterfront area on the northend of Boston Harbor.  This area of downtown is also referred to as the “Wharf District” which includes harbor Towers and Rowes Wharf which also have a large residential populations.

The Harborwalk where people can walk along the habor also is found on the North End.  This area is also really popular for families with children or those who love walking their dogs.

Restaurants and shops dominate the street, Hanover St. which is the “Main” street of the neighborhood.

When describing what I’ts like to live in North end, people compare it to a European feel where walking to most everything is easy and encouraged.  The architectural variety mixed with the nature of the wharves on the harbor makes it one of a kind.
